KCM Kitchens – product guide.
This product catalogue design for KCM Kitchens transformed a large volume of detailed technical information into a clear, practical ordering resource for retailers and trade customers.
Commissioned by Studio Free, I developed the information structure and design of the 80-page printed and digital guide from the ground up. Working from complex internal spreadsheets and technical product data, I organised the range into a logical hierarchy and developed the naming and classification system for KCM’s three product levels: Signature, Core and Pure.
The project involved much more than page layout. I created the visual key and iconography, developed matrix systems to show product and range availability, structured SKU and configuration information, and established a consistent format that could accommodate a large number of cabinet types, dimensions and options. The finished guide is designed to help users identify products, compare specifications and compile order codes more easily.
I also produced the custom technical line illustrations throughout the catalogue, including dimetric cabinet drawings and dimensioned product diagrams. These work alongside the matrices and specification data to make highly technical information quicker to interpret.
The result is a detailed but cohesive technical resource that translates extensive internal product data into a structured, usable publication – balancing accuracy, information hierarchy and visual clarity.
