It’s Lead Creative’s anniversary this month and it nearly passed me by. I could have let it pass and bury it under the weight of ‘sudden change’, but I am forcing myself to reflect and give it the acknowledgement it deserves. It has been an EXTRAORDINARY period of time – in one way or another.
- 5* reviews (amazing)
- 5 location moves (exhausting)
- 2 design awards (amazing)
- 2 children (amazing and exhausting)
- 2 websites (hard graft)
- 1 art business offshoot (good fun)
- 1 pandemic (no words)
- Happy clients and children (all I can ask for)
If you have young children and you have a business, you will know exactly how delicately balanced your life has to become. The last 10 years have thrown immeasurable curve balls at myself and my work, but I am grateful for every one of them.
I have come close to throwing the towel in and admitting defeat when things seemed impossible despite trying every avenue. For every curve ball, I have developed resilience. I am sure that loyalty – to myself, my work, my degree subject and children has kept me going. I feel like I am starting again, but I am grateful that this decade has kindled something I can build upon. I wrote my business values 10 years ago and they haven’t changed since.
Today, I will shamelessly blow Lead Creative’s trumpet and encourage everyone else to take a minute to reflect on your own achievements.
I am so very grateful to my clients and your ongoing support throughout. Thank you.
This brand new website should have been launched in the spring, but now is the perfect time and celebration.
